What Are The Causes Of Hemorrhoid?

Hemorrhoids are a prevalent condition that affects many people in our society. It has been found that 1 in every 10 people suffer from hemorrhoids at some point in their life. What you need to understand is that most of the causes of hemorrhoid are directly related to our daily activities. Here are a few of the causes believed to bring on hemorrhoids.

The first cause is simply sitting too long. It can be difficult to avoid sitting as you sit when you drive, eat, relax and possibly while you are at work. To avoid constant sitting, you can get up and walk around for five minutes from time to time. Getting circulation going can get the blood flowing and avoid any pains.

The next of the causes of hemorrhoid is any straining with bowel movements. The common response to this is to not strain as you pass stool. However, it has been found that reading while moving your bowels can have a negative impact. Find a balance between not straining too much and not sitting on the toilet too long.

This leads to the next cause, which is sitting on the toilet too long. Many people try to relax by sitting on the toilet and reading for awhile. However, sitting in the same position on the toilet for awhile can have a negative impact. You want to get in and get out as soon as possible.

Not that we can always prevent it, but one of the causes of hemorrhoid is diarrhea. The problem people have with diarrhea is still straining their already very loose bowels. It is important you take medication and drink lots of fluids to become hydrated and replenish your body’s supply.

Another problem we cannot always prevent is severe coughing. As you cough, your stomach muscles contract and your sphincter muscles strain. The solution to this is to take cough medicine and get rid of your cough as soon as possible.

The last cause you actually can prevent is heavy lifting. If you have poor technique while lifting heavy objects, there will be consequences. It can hurt your back and buttocks, while potentially causing strain and injury.

There are a number of causes of hemorrhoid, some you can prevent and others you cannot. However, knowing the causes can help you treat the ones you cannot prevent so you can avoid getting a hemorrhoid. Be smart and act on any of these causes as soon as possible so you do not have to go through the pain of having a hemorrhoid. Learn more about the causes of hemorrhoids here!
